Here we have 3 reasons why an assistant is important for newborn photography!

Freezing The Picture
Many parents love to have their newborn baby photograph to freeze the picture, freeze the memories of how tiny and fragile their newborn baby was when they were first born. As a professional newborn photographer in Sydney, I can assure you that our newborn studio session has been the best choice I have made into this professional and artistic career. Not only getting to cuddle the sweetest newborn babies but also getting to see the unconditional love parents have towards their babies is such a wonderful feeling. We feel so honoured and very grateful that we were given the trust to photograph so many Australian families and we have created beautiful heirloom albums and beautiful artworks for many families to keep and to display in their home so they can enjoy them for the lifetime.
3 Reasons Why An Assistant Is Important
You probably have seen professional newborn photographers have their assistant assisting them during their newborn studio session and you might wonder to yourself… Why? Here are the 3 reasons of why us, the professional newborn photographers, love and need our assistants.
-
Extra Pair of Hands and Another Set of Eyes.
Newborn baby is very fragile as we all know it. They are so tiny and their skin is so soft as if it would peel off if you touch it. They are very flexible and sometimes can be too flexible if we don’t hold them properly with extra care. During the newborn studio session, we focus on posing newborn babies into props or into parents’ hands, therefore, posing babies can be challenging. It is common that newborn baby will move around and they tend to do that all the time. To step back and leaving the newborn baby unattended is a big no-no for our Sydney professional newborn photography studio. To have an assistant nearby is always very helpful. Extra pair of hands and another set of eyes is needed during our newborn studio session.
-
Props and Setups Changing.
Props and Setups are important for our newborn studio session. Parents love choosing colours and props for their precious baby studio session. At our Sydney newborn photography studio, we love doing variety of props and setups because we know that newborn baby won’t stay so small and tiny forever and we love photograph them as many as possible. With various props and setups, it creates many different beautiful looks for our newborn baby and parents love it. But who would be holding the newborn baby during the props and setups changing? Of course, our assistant is! We never leave the baby unattended.
