One day one of my work colleague asked me to photograph her newborn baby and I said ok, thinking in my head ‘of course, I can do this. How hard is it gonna be?’ And I was so wrong! Not only that I could not do it, I was not even trained for it. Well, the session was done and I was loving every minutes of it. The newborn baby was so tiny and so cute. How parents were so gentle to their baby and just everything about it got me hooked.

But here is when things really started – checking photos from that first newborn session on the computer made me felt devastated. The photos were not how I would loved them to turn out – they were not up to my standard and my style – and I knew then I needed a mentor. I then contacted a well-known professional newborn photographer in Sydney inquiring about 1:1 mentoring workshop at her studio and there I learnt so much. Then I started to buy everything I thought I needed – lighting, beanbag, props, etc. I also registered myself into more online workshops with many famous professional newborn photographers from all around the world. I just wanted to learn as much as possible because I loved this so much. I told myself newborn photographer is going to be my career!
