Siblings With Baby Photography
Siblings with baby photography is something many of my parents have concern about. As a baby photographer in Sydney, I truly understand how importance it is to get beautiful portraits of their little ones together. How To Prepare
Most of the times when parents come to my baby photography studio in Sydney, we would go through all the details together about designing and planning their photo session. If parents have older child or older children with them along with the newborn baby, that’s when we need to focus on the older children as well. If the older children are at the age of 5 or below – we need to prepare for them and let’s pray they will allow me to photograph them.
Toys In The Studio
Siblings under the age of 5 usually love their favourite toys. It is a good ideas for parents to bring their toys into the studio as well on their photo session day. At our baby photography studio in Sydney, we also have some toys provided because we know kids love them! Little tips – we love educational toys!
Siblings Younger Than 3
Siblings who are younger than 3 are very playful and very curious about everything around them. Being a baby photographer in Sydney, I love reading and finding more information about child development and ages so that I would understand better about them. It really helps. The important thing to remember about siblings with baby photography is that siblings who are younger than 3 years old – they are babies too! Play with them, engage with them, and try to interact with them as much as we can during the session. We do that and they really help us to have a smooth photo session.
Nap Time
Toddlers need their nap time! With our baby photography session, we would discuss their toddlers nap time before hand and we will try our best to schedule the session before or after their nap time. It is not a good idea to photograph them when they are very sleepy because they will be grumpy and crying. It is not the family picture perfect we were hoping for.
Tricks And Playful
As a professional baby photographer in Sydney, I know that kids love to play. Being a baby photographer, being friendly and playful can help a lot during the newborn photo session with toddlers. Siblings with baby photography can be challenging for any baby photographers but it is a lot of fun. One of hand will be holding the camera while the other hand keeps going up and down in the air jus to make them laugh. Any tricks will do and they love it!
What To Wear
What to wear is usually best to match the parents outfits. For instance, if parents wear white tops and jeans then it would look really cool if the siblings also wear white top and jeans. If parents wear something more formal, then of course, siblings should wear formal outfits as well. In term of colours, same tone of colours usually are the best. The neutral colours has been the most popular colours at our baby photography studio in Sydney. Siblings with baby photography can be a lot of fun and we usually end up getting a lot of natural poses with those beautiful smiles.
Poses For Siblings With Baby Photography
There are some very safe poses for siblings with baby photography who are under the age of 3 years old. Baby’s Safety is the most important for baby photographers. Toddler siblings may not understand if they are playing with the baby or if they are hurting them so we as a baby photographer, we must make sure we guide them properly. Easy ways out is to give the safest poses possible. Laying down on the float rug holding the baby in their arms is one option. Sitting down holding the wrapped baby in their arms with parents nearby is also a good idea. At Capture The Moment By Ana, we do not try the impossible because baby’s safety is our main priority.
