What Happens If We Need to Reschedule Your Newborn Session?

One thing I always want my clients to know is this — life with a newborn can be unpredictable, and that is completely okay.

Sometimes babies get sick. Sometimes parents get sick. And occasionally, even I may become unwell too. Health and safety will always come first, especially when working with newborn babies and families.

The good news is: we can always reschedule your session. No problem at all.

Your Baby’s Health Comes First

Newborn babies are still developing their immune systems, so if your baby is feeling unwell, unsettled, or simply having a difficult day, it is always best to postpone the session until everyone is feeling better.

There is never pressure to attend your booking if your little one is sick. I want both baby and parents to feel relaxed and comfortable during the session experience.

Parents Need Care Too

The newborn stage can be exhausting. Lack of sleep, recovery after birth, and adjusting to life with a new baby can sometimes leave parents feeling run down or unwell.

If you or your family are sick before the session, please do not stress. Just let me know as soon as possible, and we will organise another suitable date together.

I completely understand that these things happen.

If I Become Unwell

As a photographer working closely with newborn babies, I also take health seriously. If I am unwell, I would never risk exposing a newborn or family to illness.

In that situation, I would contact you immediately and arrange a new session date as soon as possible. Your family’s safety will always be my priority.

Flexible and Understanding Experience

I know how much planning goes into preparing for a newborn session, especially during those emotional and tiring early weeks. My goal is always to make the experience feel stress-free and supportive for families.

Rescheduling is absolutely okay when needed. There is no guilt, no pressure, and no inconvenience.

At the end of the day, beautiful memories can still be captured once everyone is healthy and feeling their best.

Newborn photography should be a calm and enjoyable experience, not something that adds extra stress to your family.

Whether baby is unwell, parents need extra recovery time, or unexpected things happen, we can always work together to find a new date that suits everyone.

Sometimes flexibility is simply part of life with a newborn — and that is perfectly okay.
